There’s no way that Juventus’ striker Dusan Vlahovic will be ready to go for this weekend’s match against AC Milan after suffering a thigh injury this week while playing for his home country of Serbia during the international break.
With that being said, Vlahovic doesn’t plan on being out for that long and is hoping to be ready for Juve’s Champions League match against Aston Villa next week, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via JuventusNews24.
Having Vlahovic against Villa would be nice, but would Juventus really want him to rush if someone like Timothy Weah plays at the No. 9 spot against Milan this weekend and does really well. Don’t be surprised if Weah gets the job done since he did play striker during his time at Lille.
With Vlahovic dealing with an injury now along with Arkadiusz Milik, who may not be back until after the new year, the Bianconeri are targeting Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick, who hasn’t seen the pitch much this season.
At the end of the day, Vlahovic can hope to be back for The Old Lady’s match against Villa, but the last thing the club will want is for him to rush himself back and then he injures himself even more and has to miss a lot more time. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
