Patrik Schick would give Juve some much needed depth
The upcoming January transfer window can’t come soon enough for Juventus FC. They desperately need some help at center-back with Juan Cabal and Gleison Bremer out for the rest of the season.
Aside from injuries on the defensive side of the ball, Juve are still waiting for striker Arkadiusz Milik to come back from his injury, which may not happen until as late as January of 2025. Then this week current starting striker Dusan Vlahovic limped off the pitch during a match between Serbia and Denmark, which means he likely won’t be fit for this week’s match against AC Milan.
With all that being said, it seems as though the Bianconeri are eyeing striker Patrik Schick of Beyer Leverkusen to give them some added depth to the striker position, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
With Schick not getting many minutes in Germany this season, his agent is looking for a new landing spot where can get on the pitch and help a team win games.
The 28 year-old Schick has some experience in Serie A after playing for Sampdoria in 2016-17 and then AS Roma from 2017-2020. He was close to joining Juventus prior to playing for Roma, but failed his physical.
Schick has been pretty efficient with Leverkusen having played in 98 matches with a total of 44 goals. Right now, Juve really just need a solid forward to fill in for Vlahovic when he needs a rest and Schick seems like the right player.
