Juventus are Italian Champions for the 31st time in their glorious history! Juventus needed only a point from today’s match against Palermo but they managed to secure 3 points to maintain their winning streak which is now of 8 games. Today’s match didn’t offer many highlights as it was clear that Juventus were distracted with the thought of winning the league whilst Palermo tried to limit the damage as much as possible to at least secure a point.
Palermo played well as they were very solid at the back and in the second half they almost surprised everyone as Fabrizio Miccoli hit the upright. The upright ignited urgency within the Juventus squad as they wanted to avoid a delay in their title celebrations. Their aggressiveness was rewarded as Palermo defender, Donati, clumsily pushed Vucinic in the penalty box. From the penalty spot Arturo Vidal did not miss and secured the victory for Juventus. On a bad note, Paul Pogba, was sent off towards the end of the match as he spat towards Aronica after the Palermo defender hit Pogba in the face. That aside, Pogba played a really good match, also showing some glimpses of quality.
