Yesterday Juventus played a patient match that secured them three important points to go closer to winning the Italian Serie A. The match was quite boring with both sides finding it difficult to create goal scoring opportunities. Andrea Pirlo almost scored in the first half thanks to a venomous free kick that was saved by a superb Abbiati. Unfortunately for AC Milan Abbiati had to be substituted some minutes later by Amelia as he got injured. This substitution would result in being pivotal for the game result.

In the second half the match remained balanced with both teams lacking goal scoring opportunities. Juventus managed to score thanks to an Asamoah run in which the Ghanaian anticipated Amelia with the Milan keeper hitting into the Juventus player. Arturo Vidal scored from the penalty spot as he shot in the right top corner. Juventus maintained the lead without any severe risks.
