Will Danilo leave Juventus in January?

It’s been obvious this season that it’s time for Juventus to move on from 33 year-old Brazilian defender Danilo. Pretty much every match he’s played in, he’s been a liability, which is why manager Thiago Motta has often kept him on the bench.

Danilo’s FotMob rating this season has been a 6.62, which is not good enough to start on any big European club. But it looks like Manchester United could end up going after him during the January transfer window.

The Mirror is reporting that new Man United manager Rúben Amorim is targeting Danilo.

It would be nice if the Bianconeri could unload Danilo, but can they really afford to do so? I’m asking because even if he’s not good enough to be a starter, he could provide them with some valuable depth. Injuries have been an issue this season with guys like Nico Gonazalez and Gleison Bremer both going down, for example.

Juventus have a nice crop of players on their roster but it’s obvious that their biggest issue is depth at this point. Now, if they can sell Danilo and add a defender to replace Bremer, who’s dealing with a torn ACL, it would be worth it for them to do so. As of right now, his value is around 13 million euros and it’s only going to go downas time goes on.

As of right now, there’s no guarantee that The Old Lady will be able to sell Danilo this winter, and The Mirror aren’t the most reliable source. All we can do is and wait and see what happens.

Comment below and give us your thoughts on whether you think Danilo should go and if Juve should sell him in January.
