Gatti has been playing well for Juve
Things have been rough for Juventus when it comes to the health of their center-backs with both Juan Cabal and Gleison Bremer both out for the rest of the season with ACL injuries.
One center-back that’s still healthy and having a very great season for The Old Lady is Federico Gatti. He’s playing so well that the Bianconeri are working on handing him a contract extension, according to Nicholas Schira of Tuttosport.
Negotiations are proceeding quickly between Federico Gatti ‘s agents, Luca Carnaghi and Dario Paolillo, and Juventus . In recent days, the second summit between the parties took place, after the one in September, to set up the extension of the contract (currently expiring in 2028). Also on the table was the deserved salary adjustment for the central defender from Rivoli, who has now become a key figure in the Bianconeri eleven.
Renowned reported Fabrizio Ramano also reported the news on Twitter.
Juventus have planned Federico Gatti’s new deal since October and it will be sealed soon, no changes. Salary to be improved and longer deal, valid for the next five years.
So far this season Gatti has started nine out of 10 Serie A matches and has a FotMob rating of 7.19.
The 26 year-old Gatti was a part of Serie D side Alessandria’s youth academy and played for senior team from 2014-2018. He then moved on to play for Verbania, Pro Patria, Frosinone and then finally landed in Serie A with Juventus in 2022 after playing in the lower leagues for most of his career.
Gatti was also recently called up to the Italian national team for their Nation’s League matches during the November International break. A call-up that is well deserved.
