The Old Lady will save a lot of money with Paul Pogba off the books now

With midfielder Paul Pogba having his four year suspension reduced to 18 months, he can now get back on the pitch this winter. As we all know, once Juventus heard the news of his ban being reduced they made it clear that they would terminate his contract.

On Friday Juventus made it official and announced that they have in fact terminated Pogba’s contract. The Old Lady released the following statement:

Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024.

The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.

Moving on from Pogba made a lot of sense for Juve given the fact that it’s been a while since he’s played football and even when he was eligible to play he was rarely on the field due to the fact that he couldn’t stay injury free.

The great news is that with Pogba’s contract terminated, Juve will save 30 million euros, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. He was making an annual salary of 10 million euros. as well as other bonus’. This is huge with the fact that Juventus have some pressing needs on defense to fill during the upcoming winter transfer window.

As great as Pogba was for the Bianconeri during his first stint with the club, it was clear that he was never going to be able to recreate the magic that he once had with the club.

Comment below and give us your thoughts on Pogba leaving Juve.
