Juventus have gone undefeated so far this season in Serie A and only have one loss in the Champions League despite the fact that they’ve dealt with a lot of injuries. Right now they’re waiting for Arkadiusz Milik , Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez and Vasilije Adžić to all come back from injuries. And lets not forget about their top defender, Bremer, who’s out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
The Bianconeri received some more bad news on Tuesday with defender Juan Cabal apparently suffering a knee injury while on international duty with Colombia. This in turn forced him to withdraw from the team, according to reports.
The 23 year-old Cabal just received his first cap with the Colombian national team in September and has made two appearances for his country. He just arrived from Hellas Verona on a €12.8 million move to The Old Lady back in July.
With Cabal’s injury, Juve now only have Danilo, Federico Gatti and Pierre Kalulu as options at the center-back position. There’s no doubt that the winter transfer window can’t come soon enough with the Bianconeri already planning on adding a defender with Bremer out.
Right now Juventus are eagerly waiting for updates on Cabal’s injury. As soon as we get more information, this post will be updated.
Update: Right now Giovanni Albanese of Giornalista Sportivo is reporting that there’s a chance that Cabal suffered an ACL injury.
Update: It’s been confirmed that Cabal did in fact suffer a torn ACL and so just like Bremer, his season is now over.
