Juventus definitely need some defensive reinforcements
Juventus were already in need of some help at the center-back position with Bremer being ruled out for the rest of season last month after suffering a torn ACL. Then news broke on Tuesday that Juan Cabal may have torn his ACL as well while on International duty with Colombia.
Juve are obviously looking around for help and one player we know that they’re eyeing is Tottenham center-back is Radu Drăgușin. It now appears that they will have to compete with Napoli for his services during the winter transfer window, according to DiMarzio, via @ForzaJuveEN on X.
Drăgușin is originally from Bucharest, Romania, is a professional footballer that stands tall at 1.91 meters and while he’s primarily a center-back, he can also play right-back if needed.
Drăgușin began his football journey with local clubs Sportul Studențesc and Regal Sport București before moving to Italy in 2018 to join Juventus’ youth academy, so this is a player that The Old Lady are familiar with. His potential was quickly recognized, leading to his first-team debut in a UEFA Champions League match against Dynamo Kyiv in December 2020. To gain more experience, he had loan spells at Sampdoria and Salernitana, which were huge in his development.
In 2022, Drăgușin joined Genoa, initially on loan, and he was a big reason why they won promotion to Serie A. His performances caught the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, and in January 2024, he signed a contract with the Premier League club, set to run until 2030.
Drăgușin has only played a total of four Premier League matches for Spurs this season and has an overall FotMob rating of 6.19.
