Juventus may be facing off against Chiesa soon
This past summer first-year Juventus manager Thiago Motta decided that winger Federico Chiesa wasn’t going to be a part of his squad this season, which left the club no choice but to sell him. This of course led to him being sold to Liverpool for 12 million euros plus add-ons.
Since arriving in England, Chiesa has only played in one match for a total of 18 minutes and as of right now he’s out due to a muscle injury and isn’t expected back until later this month.
There is a now a report that Chiesa could end up back in Italy this winter on loan with either AC Milan or Roma. According to Calciomercato.com, the reason Liverpool want to loan him out is because they want him to get back into shape.
Roma could certainly use all of the help they can get at this point due to the fact that they’re currently sitting in 12th place in Serie A. But I don’t see how he would help Milan because if anything they need help on defense, not with their attack.
It also doesn’t make sense to me to send a player out on loan for them to simply get back into shape. You can do that at the training ground and by subbing him into matches with around 20 minutes remaining, so he can work. his way back. So I’m not sure what Liverpool are thinking right now.
Comment below and give us your thoughts on Chiesa possibly coming back to Serie A for half of this season.
